Only two years after its establishment, the number of employees at the site in Vreden is into double figures. The success of the products in turn requires further recruitment and an expansion of the production.

Only six years after its founding, the existing premises are no longer big enough and KEMPER builds its first production facility. At the same time, the product range is extended to include cutting tables.

The breakthrough in the German market has long been accomplished and requests from abroad are also piling up to such an extent that new subsidiaries in France and the United States are the first of a number of start-ups.

The tasks grow with the success. As Gerd Kemper focuses on products and innovations, Karl Segbert takes on supporting the founder in management.

Although KEMPER already has its headquarters close to the border with the Netherlands, the family wants to always be close to its customers. A subsidiary in the neighbouring country is the logical result.

The number of employees reaches three figures. Meanwhile, the KEMPER group has become a major employer in the home town of Vreden.

Move into the current office buildings in the Von-Siemens-Straße in Vreden

After the USA, KEMPER expands once more outside of mainland Europe. The fifth subsidiary also secures a permanent contact person for the British and the typical KEMPER local service.
 
  1. The building built in 1983 reaches its production limits. The investment in an additional 4000 m2 also gives a clear indication of how KEMPER should develop in the coming years. The production becomes more flexible and efficient.

As of now, production is no longer only in Vreden. The Czech colleagues get a modern hall, KEMPER’s capacity increases significantly again. Thus, the company also gears itself up for the growing challenges of globalization.
 

Björn Kemper is responsible for marketing and sales. The son of the founder first gathered extensive experience in science and industry, before coming back into the family business. He supports management and is the new face of the KEMPER group.

The success of KEMPER leads to the expansion of production, started in the year 2000, in the Czech Republic. Thus, the subsidiary becomes the most important location next to the headquarters in Vreden.

  1. A new market is opened. KEMPER uses its years of experience in the metal processing industry to develop innovative and user-oriented solutions in the field of automation.

The newest startup abroad is based in India. From here KEMPER distributes its products and supports its customers in the Asian countries.

Only a year after the opening of the business area Automation, the KEMPER solution receives the prestigious Innovation Award. The cooperation with the Frauenhofer Institute demonstrates the know-how of the engineers in Vreden.
 
A new site in Germany complements the KEMPER group. Now experts for the field of automation are located in Lünen. Only two years later, this site becomes too small and a move to the neighbouring Waltrop is pending.
 
In just 35 years, an idea in the garage turns into the market and technology leader and a major regional employer. Worldwide, KEMPER employs more than 300 people and continues to invest in new products and the expansion of production capacities.
 
KEMPER is changing its communication. Product benefits are now in the focus of our brand strategy. The products need to be innovative and simple. And this is reflected also by the complete new and clear image. With a new cooperate design and logo, all catalogues brochures and the web appearance have been updated. The re launch has been presented during the SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN.
 
Furthermore to the extraction and filtration of dust, KEMPER is involved in the contamination free dust disposal. Or objective is to protect everybody in the workshop against air pollution and especially the operator when exchanging the dust collection containers. KEMPER has launched several products for contamination free dust disposal.

KEMPER developed a solution for a networked health and safety. KEMPER Connect enables the autonomous regulation of general ventilation systems and extraction units. The air monitoring system Airwatch e.g. is regulating several CleanAirTower depending to the measured level of contamination. If certain limits are exceeded – which can be individually programmed – the CleanAirTower is activated or adjusted to the required level. This way KEMPER guarantees an energy efficient operation without human intervention.
 
KEMPER reacts to the increasing interest in occupational safety in Poland and therefore opens another subsidiary on the European mainland. KEMPER thus offers its Polish partners direct accessibility and the typical KEMPER service on site.
 
For KEMPER, 2018 was the most successful business year in the company's history. For the first time, KEMPER surpassed the turnover of 40 million euros in this highly cyclical phase. KEMPER employs around 370 people worldwide.
 
KEMPER creates structures for the future. With Frederic Lanz, a proven industry expert, expands the circle of those responsible. Together with Björn Kemper, he forms the management board. Founder Gerd Kemper and the commercial director Karl Segbert continue to support KEMPER in an advisory capacity. At the same time, the manufacturer establishes a new sales office in Moscow. From there, KEMPER pushes the expansion towards the East.
